IS A FAMILY TRADITION
THE CHARM OF THE NORMAN “GRAN COUNT"
The liberty style rooms still retain traces of a noble past and evoke the charisma of the figure of Ruggero, the valiant Norman count whose history is intertwined with that of this area of Calabria
The Benedictine monk Goffredo Malaterra describes the Grand Count as “a very handsome young man, of tall stature and elegant proportions, ready to speak, wise in his advice, far-sighted in dealing with business.
He always kept his friendly and cheerful character. He was also endowed with great physical strength and great courage in fighting. And by virtue of these qualities, he quickly earned everyone's favor "
THE REMAINS OF THE ROCK SETTLEMENT
Walking through the areas of the structure, it is a surprise to come across the interesting paleontological area excavated in the tuff rock, the same that hides the quarry from which the lime was originally obtained and in which the population sought refuge during the war. It was transformed into a real rock settlement today still preserved intact.
